Hi! I’m so glad we’ve found each other!
I’m a recovering Emmy-award winning TV news producer who left journalism to become a stay-at-home mom several years ago. And I’m a mom who has the problem most parents wish they had: my kids are really good eaters!
On most nights, dinner is a non-issue. My two boys, ages 5 &6, will eat just about anything I put in front of them. My 3-year-old daughter is a little pickier than her brothers, but still a great eater in the grand scheme of things. Some examples:
Their favorite dinner: sushi
Favorite vegetables: brussel sprouts and green beans
Favorite fruits: cantaloupe, pineapple, apples, oranges, berries… pretty much anything.
I realize: I’m very, VERY lucky. The kids eat well and they have no dietary limitations. But I still have those nights where one kid will love something while the others refuse. Even dessert can be a whirlwind of “I love this!” and “I don’t want this!!”
So I thought it was time to start an experiment and take a closer look at exactly what they’ll eat, and what they won’t. I hope you’ll join me on this journey — and perhaps we can help each other with tips, recipes, and ideas on making mealtime a little more painless.
